Another one of the larger dog breeds is the Bernese Mountain Dog. It is one of the four breeds of Sennenhund-type dogs from the Swiss Alps. They are extremely affectionate and good-natured, often believed to be one of the least aggressive dogs toward humans. Their sweet dispositions, calm natures, and willingness to play make them a great companion for children.

Although they are not aggressive, they are very protective, especially to the kids. He will have this strong desire of keeping you and your family safe.
