When Does the Test Begin?
Here’s a question for all of the math geniuses out there. If the longest side of a right triangle is 4 centimeters long and the adjacent side is 3 centimeters long, what is the hypotenuse? Anyone who studied for the SATs will know that this forms a 3-4-5- right triangle, so the answer is X = 5, right?
Well, that’s only if you use the Pythagorean theorem. You could come up with an entirely unique answer to this question and still receive at least half marks. Just circle the X and tell your teacher that you’ve successfully located it.
