“A Lot” Is Relative
Trying to teach children how to do math is as hard as… well, trying to teach children how to do math. What we’re trying to say is that math teachers have to fight an uphill battle. And at the end of the day, despite all their hard work, teachers end up receiving smart-aleck answers like this.
300 + 700 + 2 = a lot, according to this one kid who couldn’t be bothered to use a calculator or hadn’t learned how to use a calculator yet. Thankfully, everyone has a calculator in their pocket, so we don’t have to waste brain memory by remembering complex equations.
