Typically, when you see a card that says “sorry for your loss,” it’s referring to someone who has just lost a loved one. It’s not every day that you see a card with this language employed to give a firm three weeks’ notice.
According to Todd, this is how he felt most at ease informing his employer that he was quitting. Hey, at the very least, he gave a three-week notice. The norm is two weeks, and some individuals don’t even make it that long.
