Lubbock Lights
Something strange occurred in the Texas town of Lubbock in the summer of 1951. Many people saw inexplicable lights on several nights between August and September. The tale attracted national attention because a student was able to capture photographs of one of these unusual light shows.
Several professors and others observed strange lights in V and U formations in the sky, who could not explain the unusual occurrence. They were circular, greenish-blue, and even slightly fluorescent in hue, and they were quite large. They also vanished rapidly.
