The Land of Plenty
There really can be too much of a good thing. When people outside of the U.S. come to visit, they are often overwhelmed by the large quantities of food in restaurants and supermarkets. Our dairy products are no different. This person was amazed that the American supermarket they visited only carried milk in gallons.

When they asked a nearby employee for a smaller carton of milk, they laughed at the question! This person was stumped as to why someone would need so much milk, and they have a good point. It depends on your eating habits, but American milk goes bad a lot faster than milk processed in some other countries. That can result in a lot of wasted milk (and money) going down the drain.
