Questionable Assumptions About America That Were Spot On

Here in the U.S., you can’t have a sports game without the cheerleading team. Cheerleading was invented here in the States, and it’s considered a professional sport. There are cheer competitions, unions, and associations. Cheerleading as a sport hasn’t really spread outside of the United States, so it’s one of those uniquely American activities that some scratch their heads about.

Some people might not take cheerleading seriously, but being a cheerleader is no easy task. It takes real talent, strength, and stamina to perform routines and stunts. If cheer never gets quite as popular outside of America, that’s okay with us. We love to have a sport that is uniquely ours!
