Deep In the Heart of Texas
Every one of the fifty states has its own unique culture and history, but none are as prominent as good old Texas. People who are from Texas are often proud to be from the Lone Star State, and they’ll let you know it! There are so many popular culture moments that highlight Texas, but one song sticks out the most.
“Deep in the Heart of Texas” quickly became a huge part of Texan popular culture when it first came out in the 1940s, and it’s been part of the state’s identity ever since. This poster tested out a theory, and found that you can easily identify a Texan by saying the line, “The stars at night are big and bright.” A true Texan will reply with the next line, “Deep in the heart of Texas.” Who doesn’t love a good musical moment?
