Brace Yourself for Spider Frost
Forget cats and dogs, in Australia, it rains spiders! You read that right. When an area gets so covered by spider webs that it starts to resemble frost, you call it spider frost. Basically, tons of spiders use their webs to ascend to a higher point using their webs. Think of it as them creating a parachute to go from one place to another when it’s windy.
It usually occurs during heavy rains or when there’s flooding to protect them from drowning. The official name for this Spiderman like technique is “ballooning” and it creates a rather interesting but creepy landscape. Is the arachnophobe inside you freaking out yet?
