You Can Get a Quokka Selfie
Not every creature in Australia will give you the heebie-jeebies. Take the Quokka for example. These fluffy marsupials are native to Australia, more specifically to the island of Rottnest in the west. They thrive on plants, are extremely social creatures, and seem to be always smiling, which is why the internet is full of selfies with these cuties.
The reason why they’re not shy is because they have no natural predators on the island and therefore never needed survival tactics. Remember though that touching them is a crime. They are a protected species and cannot be kept as pets even though they are so adorable!
