AC/DC Who?
If you’re a fan of rock and roll, you’re probably aware that Australia is home to the hit band AC/DC started by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Did you know, however, that in Australia, the band is fondly called “Acca Dacca?” If you’re wondering how the brothers came up with the band name, it was after their sister saw the initials “AC/DC” which stands for “alternating current/direct current” on a sewing machine.
Of course, Australians have to say it in style so Acca Dacca it is. In case you’re interested, the band is still very much around with their latest album Power Up being released in 2020.
