A Giant Green Walking Stick
Only in Australia can insects be the size of a small mammal! Pictured here is a Goliath stick insect or the Eurycnema goliath if you want to get scientific. True to their name, these guys can reach up to 25 cm in length with the females being much larger than males. In fact, the females cannot fly even though they have large wings.
Although they look intimidating, they’re pretty harmless and docile enough to be kept as a pet if you’re into exotic pets. Just feed them leaves of English Ivy, Eucalyptus, Oak, or Berries, and you’re good to go.
