Not All Their Creatures Are Scary
For every giant spider hiding in your mailbox, huge bat hanging outside your window, and slimy snake on a plane, Australia does have some rather adorable creatures as well. Meet Brian the Bettong who was rescued by the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary. Bettongs are basically rat-kangaroos native to Aussieland and were once widespread across the country.
They are small, nocturnal marsupials and as you can see, they are incredibly adorable! For nearly 100 years, Bettongs were extinct from mainland Australia but were reintroduced to the ACT from Tasmania. If you can’t get enough of this cute guy, you can follow him on Instagram and Twitter.
