Their hurried escape led Jenna and Brendan to the reassuring haven of their neighbor’s house. The neighbor, sensing the distress etched across their faces, welcomed them with open arms. The familiar surroundings of the neighbor’s abode offered a comforting contrast to the unnerving uncertainty left behind. She reacted within seconds.
