Caroline Wozniacki
You’d assume rheumatoid arthritis mainly affects the elderly, until tennis player Caroline Wozniacki was diagnosed with the career-ending condition. It’s a long-term disease in which your joints are almost always inflamed, causing a lot of discomfort. People affected by RA should engage in low-impact aerobic exercise, which doesn’t include tennis.
Caroline has, however, hinted at the prospect of playing doubles with Serena Williams a few years ago. She said that if Serena offers her the spot, she would have come out of retirement to play alongside her idol. We would’ve loved to see the two of them dominate every double’s team match across the planet, but sadly, that dream might not come to fruition.
