Anna Kournikova was a tennis player who never won a Grand Slam singles title, but she did win the Grand Slam Doubles. She began playing at the age of 15 and retired after only six years. She claims that the media was largely responsible for her reason to leave the sport prematurely.
Her greatest achievement in sports was ranking 8th overall, while the majority of her career was spent ranking somewhere in the 20s. Fortunately, she had more success off the tennis court as a result of her endorsements. She was even in the Jim Carrey film Me, Myself, and Irene. She appeared as a hillbilly wife for those that don’t know.
