Traveling to a new country means learning about the culture of that country and what is and isn’t socially acceptable. After all, you’re a guest in someone’s home country, and you don’t want to offend anyone! This may seem like a strange concept for some people to grasp, but it’s just the way of the world.

Statements like this make me wonder if any of us can ever possibly fit into a culture other than our own. How in the world would it be considered unacceptable to look around someone’s home and compliment it? Unless you weren’t invited and are there to burgle the place or something.
