Tim McGraw
We have yet another country singer who was involved in tossing an egg-shaped ball around a field and running from one end to the other. Tim McGraw, who you probably know as the singer of Don’t Take the Girl and I Like It, I Love It, played football in high school.
As you probably figured out, nothing came of his football playing days. He received a baseball scholarship and attended Northeast Louisiana University, but even his dreams of playing baseball professionally fizzed out. A knee injury ruled him out of his freshman season, so he stopped playing altogether. It was while he was off the field that he learned how to play guitar and make money from singing.
