Un-clump sugar in the microwave
Brown sugar is a great direct substitute for granulated white sugar. If you made tea or coffee, try dropping a few spoons of brown sugar and see how much more depth the sweetener adds to your beverage. However, what if you can’t spoon the sugar out? And if you don’t have a hammer or chisel, what can you do to break off chunks of the brown sugar?
What you can and should do instead of using a hammer is pop the brown sugar in the microwave along with a glass of water. The water in the glass will turn into steam, which will then break down the clumps of brown sugar.
