Use an ice cream scoop to remove pumpkin seeds
Removing seeds of pumpkins and other vegetables is a pain in the neck. The membrane that keeps the seeds in place is difficult to break with a simple spoon. And a fork will do nothing but create a slushy mess of membrane and seed fragments.
But if you have an ice cream scoop or melon baller at home, you can remove the seeds easily in a single swipe. These utensils’ edges are sharper and will slice the membranes, releasing the seeds instantly. Use the ice cream scoop for pumpkins and a melon baller for cucumbers and other smaller vegetables.
