Freeze meat before slicing
After mastering your cooking skills, the next thing you should do is work on presentation. This is a lot more challenging than it sounds, especially when working with cuts of meat. So, if you need to slice meats into strips, the easiest way to do so is by placing it in the freezer for half an hour.
When the meat solidifies, it provides less give when pushing down with a sharp blade. This will help you produce uniform slices for sandwiches, steaks, and nearly anything else you can think of. If you left the meat in the freezer for too long, place it in the fridge to defrost for 30 minutes.
