How to make heart-shaped cupcakes
Heart-shaped anything is perfect for Valentin’s day. However, making cupcakes in the shape of a heart can be tricky, unless you plan on carving it with a knife. Then what are you going to do with the scrap pieces? Eat it?
Instead, right before pouring cupcake batter in the cupcake liners, wedge a marble or other heat-resistant object between the liner and muffin tray. This will nudge the batter inward and keep it in place during the baking process. Add frosting, sprinkles, and whatever toppings you like, and you’re all done! Sadly, this trick doesn’t work as well with muffins.
