Easy-to-serve watermelon cubes
No picnic is complete with a heaping serving of watermelon. The problem with watermelon is that its juices get absolutely everywhere. The water drops down our mouths and cheeks and always finds a way onto our white, picnicking clothes.
A neat trick for serving watermelon is preparing bite-size cubes. Cut the watermelon into quarters, so you have access from all angles and axes. Any remaining cubes that remain stuck on the pitch can be scooped out with a spoon. Now, you don’t have to bit all the way down to the pith to enjoy every last bite. Just make sure to bring plenty of toothpicks!
