Cut pastries with dental floss
Have you ever wondered how bakeries make their cinnamon buns look so perfect every time? The secret lies in the cutting process (as well as years and years of experience). However, using a knife can end up crushing the dough and preventing it from rising in the oven. Delicious, yes, but not very appealing.
Instead, use dental floss to cut pastries. Simply wrap the floss around the pastry and tug on both ends until you have the right portion sizes. It can take several tries to nail this technique, but it’s so worth it. Use unflavored dental floss for obvious reasons.
