Make an indent in burger patties so they don’t overinflate
Nobody can resist a delicious burger, but even burgers deserve the best presentation you can offer. To keep your patties as flat as possible after frying or grilling, punch a tiny indent into the center of the uncooked patty. This is also a great time to add a ball of cheese in the center if you’re into that.
Some chefs even recommend sticking an ice cube in there. This will keep the patty nice and juicy after cooking it to well-done (everyone loves well-done burgers, right?). Even if you neglect this tip, your burger will still come out tasting fantastic.
