Checking eggs for freshness
Eggs are a healthy source of protein and fats. However, they only taste good if your mix your eggs with cream and scramble them in an inch of melted butter. Of course, we’re assuming that the eggs are fresh. There’s nothing more disgusting than the smell of rotten eggs.
But how can you tell whether the eggs are good when they’re hiding inside of a shell? Easy! Take the egg and drop it in a bowl or glass of water. If the egg sinks to the bottom, you’re good to go. If it sinks to the bottom but stands upright, the egg is still fine, but it’s up there in age. Floating eggs mean it’s time to toss the entire carton and buy more.
