#38: Do You Recognize Her?
We’re all familiar with this face, but maybe not from up close. This was the face of the Statue of Liberty when it was reassembled in New York City in 1885. It looks quite different without its crown, right? We also never realized she was frowning. She actually looks quite mad.

The Statue of Liberty took almost ten years to complete and was constructed in France between 1875 and 1884. It was then shipped to the U.S. and reassembled on Liberty Island. It has since become a symbol of the U.S. and one of the most famous statues in the world.
