Over-reliance on a car’s GPS
In-car navigation devices and online mapping services like Google Maps have made navigating the world much easier. Simply input your destination’s address and hit the “Directions” button to get going. However, the proposed routes are usually anything but simple. There are thousands of incidents reported where the navigation system led the driver to someplace very different than the original destination.

We assume the driver’s attention was on the GPS and that they didn’t see the pond coming up ahead. Don’t put too much stock in the car’s GPS. All this proves he is the fact that the GPS system is far from perfect. It turns out that you have to employ a mixture of directions on the street and GPS to arrive at the desired destination.
