IT
Based on Stephen King’s horror novel IT, the film is no less scary. Beginning its stardom in 1986 as a novel, IT took time up on our screens both in the hit 1990s mini-series as well as in the most recent film in 2017. Pennywise is an eponymous being, that takes shape in the form of a child-eating clown. At the beginning of the film, he calls a child by the name of Georgie to a drain. His method of enticement is truly diabolical, even for a clown.

As he calls Georgie over, his eyes change from the usual creepy yellow color to a more subtle blue. This shift goes without mention in the film, although in the book it is known that Pennywise uses this trick to appeal to Georgie from a place of comfort and security, as blue is the color of his mom and brother’s eyes. I swear, you should never trust a clown.
