Lost Highway
Another David Lynch gem, Lost Highway is exceptionally bizarre, which isn’t that surprising considering his previous films. The film follows husband and wife, Fred and Renee through receiving weird VHS tapes to their home that at first depict not much and then all of a sudden, a whole lot. I can’t really elaborate on anything further, considering it is the most confusing film ever.

Fortunately for you, you don’t really need to understand the film in order to understand this big Easter egg. It becomes clear that there is a switch between the real world and this less-than-real-super-scary world. One of the subtle, yet effective signs tells of the paintings that are hung above the couch. Actual possessions of Lynch himself, the paintings seem to be upside down after Renee, played by Patricia Arquette is killed.
