Joker
A film so good, we had to mention it twice. When you watch the film, you are instantly taken aback by how enthralling Joaquin Phoenix’s performance is as this intense character. But the other thing you may notice is that Arthur Fleck, Phoenix’s character, may be making up half of the things that take place in his own head.
It can be a complicated storyline to follow, especially if you are new to the world of the Joker. But one of the big things that become confusing is Fleck’s neighbor/love interest, who he harms, later on acts as if she has never spoken to him and seems to be completely fine. Weird. The other weird thing is that all of the clocks set 11:11, and not the kind that makes you feel like making a wish. It makes you wonder if every scene is happening at the exact same time, just on different days. Again, weird.
