Here’s a Tip: Keep Your Hands Off the Tip Jar
In the history of customer service, there has never been a situation where it’s acceptable for a customer to take an employee’s earned tips. Tips are part of someone’s income, so by stealing someone’s tips, you prevent them from paying important bills. Yet, people continue to be stand-up individuals and can’t keep their hands off or out of the tips jars.
This leaves up without words, and all we can say is, “Wow.” This lady’s nerve in this situation speaks volumes. Maybe, this staff should have a tip chute or a tip venus fly trap that keeps people from stealing. It makes us wonder how nice their old tip jar was. At least if this woman tries to come back, she can be humiliated by staff or other customers.
