#6: Put to Good Use
Even toothbrushes need to be put out to pasture (a.k.a. tossed in the trashcan) at some point in their lifespans. For example, the toothbrush in the picture below. It’s recommended to replace your toothbrush every couple of months, or when it looks like this. It’s definitely seen better days. It’s one thing to not be wasteful.

It’s another thing, entirely, to use something way beyond its expiration date. This toothbrush literally cannot serve its purpose anymore. Unless this dude brushed his teeth so hard that the bristles fell off like dead leaves from a tree in autumn. Who knows? But the moral of the story is that you should discard a toothbrush when it can no longer clean your teeth.
