My Step-Dad Was My Lifeline Growing Up
Not all of us are blessed with our biological family. Some of us are not even blessed to experience having one. A lot of us had to spend our childhood in orphanages. That is why orphans would consider their selves very lucky if a couple comes in and they would be picked to be adopted.

One of these people shared how they were adopted during the 70s and how his mom would constantly threaten him to “take him back to where he came from”. Luckily, his mom remarried a good man who served as his lifeline. His new dad became his protector and savior. To return the favor, he donated one of his kidneys to his dad in 2009.
