Dad’s Uncontrollable Anger
Anger can escalate as a form of mental health disorder that involves sudden outbursts of aggression, impulsivity, or disruptive behavior. Anger management can definitely help in alleviating this issue. Looking at a different angle, anger issues may be caused by childhood trauma that might be caused by a generational cycle of unhealthy parenting, which involves, but is not limited to, beating, shouting, gaslighting, etc.
While I am thankful that my dad can control his anger, I feel sorry for the user who shared his unpleasant experience. When his parents had guests over for dinner, he and his brother were playing, which caused the father to storm upstairs, shouting how they were very noisy, grabbed his arm, and threw him against the wall. If this is your way of parenting, please don’t bear a child.
