As a kid, we were always taught by our parents a lot of safety measures and precautions. These can be, but are not limited to, looking both sides when crossing the street, never talking to strangers, don’t accept candies from strangers, and a whole lot more. While we didn’t understand why we had to do these things before, now, we completely do.

One user shared their experience growing up. They were taught to never leave the house without the sturdy piece of cardboard containing their name, address, and phone number. They would also never leave the house without their IDs. Their mom would always give them spare change for a payphone in case they need to use one. This is actually a really helpful tip.
