Anthony Hopkins
Anthony Hopkins made it big by bringing the blood-chilling Hannibal Lecter to life in the blockbuster hit Silence of the Lambs. But Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins made his film debut as Richard the Lionheart in the historical drama The Lion in Winter. The Welsh actor was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1993.

Hopkins later went on to star as Odin in the 2011 Marvel hit Thor. He may be 82 now, but it doesn’t seem like Hopkins has any intention of pulling the plug on his long and successful career. In 2019, Hopkins played Pope Benedict XVI in the comedy The Two Popes. For his next role, Hopkins is set to play a man struggling with his memory in The Father.
