Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson
Many people forget just how Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson got started. Gaining fame by giving WWE wrestlers the famous “People’s Elbow,” Johnson was a professional wrestler for eight years before he got into acting. After retiring from the wrestling world, Johnson’s acting debut was in the 2001 film The Mummy Returns, where he played the Scorpion King.
Moving on from WWE to rebrand his image in acting, Johnson had a smooth transition. He starred in films like The Scorpion King, Rampage, and the immensely popular Fast & Furious series–cementing himself as a real Hollywood star. In 2019, The Rock starred alongside his good friend Kevin Hart in the film Jumanji: The Next Level.
