Want corn on the cob? Remove the kernels row by row
Corn on the cob is an incredibly healthy snack that you can enjoy during the summertime. While sweet corn tastes pretty good when boiled and served with a hint of salt and pepper, it tastes infinitely better if you slather pounds of butter onto each corn. Health be darned!
But if you’re tired of wasting kernels, just do what the Japanese do. Take your thumb and push the bottom parts of each row of kernels until they all pop out. The corn needs to be cooked to perfection for this trick to work. By perfection, we mean not too hard and not a mushy mess.
