Puffy face? Rinse your face with corn-silk tea
If you don’t know what corn silk is, it’s the hairy stuff from fresh ears of corn that we usually toss into the garbage can. However, some people brew corn silk and turn it into a face rinse or a beverage. It doesn’t sound very appetizing because it isn’t. We wouldn’t recommend drinking it.
However, you can use it as a DIY face wash. Legend has it that compounds in the corn silk can soothe skin puffiness and redness. And if you feel up to drinking the brew, the traditional Chinese brew is used for flushing toxins from our bodies.
