Open wound? Disinfect with soybean paste
Let’s say you’ve been experimenting in the kitchen and somehow managed to slice your hand open. What you should do is go to the ER and get stitches if you cut into the fleshy part of your hand. If you merely broke the skin, here’s a simple life hack if you have the ingredient on hand.
Take some soybean paste and rub it on the open wound. Soybean paste is fermented and acts as a sanitizing agent that can kill bacteria. However, it won’t do anything to stop the bleeding. Don’t think of packing soybean paste into an open cut. That would be foolish.
