Sneaky Zeros
This one is surely an oversight. Someone just accidentally added on two zeros, right? We can’t imagine that a known and respected site like Vox could be so off. Surely, they meant to publish that films used to be 1/9 the length of the films today. To say that films used to be 1/900th would not be correct.
That would mean that our films today are epically long compared to the 15-minute films of yesteryear. It’s strange though that they didn’t catch this oversight before publishing. You would think that someone would have noticed that something was off.
