Someone Else’s Lunch
There’s an Arab proverb that goes something like this – A good deed dies when it’s spoken about and we couldn’t agree more. This person supposedly paid for a stranger’s lunch at Wendy’s which is great. What’s odd is that they chose to post about it on their social media.
A friend was quick to point out that while it was a nice gesture, most people do this without looking for recognition. The OP didn’t back down and said that they didn’t want recognition but just wanted to say “You’re welcome.” Well, usually people wait for a “thank you” first, don’t they?
