That’s Not The Point
Whenever tragic incidents occur, influencers everywhere jump on the hashtag bandwagon to gain followers. It’s one thing to genuinely express your concern or condolences but another thing altogether to simply exploit the hashtag for your benefit. Yet, many social media stars and celebrities do just that.
Take a look at some of the pictures influencers posted after the Malibu wildfire in 2018 that tore through nearly 97,000 acres, damaged more than 1,600 structures, and killed three people. It’s literally just a bunch of selfies and vain photos that are in no way related to the actual disaster. Have some consideration, people!
