Mailmen Share Strange and Comical Moments on the Job

The exotic animal demand doesn’t just take place in Africa and Asia. People in the US often buy and sell exotic animals. This is illegal, but since criminals aren’t always the brightest people, they tend to do things that’ll eventually get them caught. In this one Florida man’s case, he tried to ship an alligator from his home state to Illinois.

Thankfully, nothing happened to the mailman or the alligator. The post office alerted animal control, who dealt with the situation. From then on, the post office asked every customer whether they were sending a potentially dangerous object or not, as if people are always entirely honest.
