Smartphones have become an integral part of daily life. You can’t go anywhere without seeing someone with their eyes glued to their phone screen or their phones glued to their ears. But if you’re on the phone while dealing with a cashier, you’re going to have a bad time.
This cashier would purposely speak loudly to drown out the noise from the person on the other end. That way, the customer would be forced to deal with the cashier and pay for their goods immediately. Just tell the person on the other line to wait a moment while you pay. It’s really not that difficult.
