Run Your Fan in Reverse
A lot of ceiling fans these days come with a switch that lets you change the direction in which they turn. We know what you’re thinking – who even wants to run a fan when it’s cold, but hear us out. Running a fan in reverse (that is clockwise) produces an updraft.
As you know, warm air from your heater will rise to the top and a running fan can push this hot air back down to the floor. This will not only keep you warm but also reduce your energy bills by as much as 15 percent. That’s not bad at all!
