Use Thick Curtains
Another simple hack to turn up the heat without literally turning it up is to use thick curtains during winter. Curtains made of velvet, tweed, suede, and even denim will not only prevent cold air from seeping inside but also keep the existing heat in. If you don’t have thick curtains and don’t want to buy some, you can even try lining your existing curtains with fleece or a shower curtain.
There are also insulated curtains available in the market which are made of four separate layers and they work beautifully at keeping your home warm. Sure, it’s an investment but it’s much more cost-effective than an increased electricity bill.
