Right. Okay. Sorry, we’re trying to wrap our minds around this staircase of only four steps. The good part was that the building owner was kind enough to add a handrail, so anyone ascending and descending the top-most step doesn’t fall over. What in the world is going on here?

The only conclusion we can draw up is that there used to be a staircase that led to the upper floor but, for whatever reason, they blocked it off. Maybe there are ghosts in the building, and the owner thought ghosts couldn’t haunt the people downstairs if they filled the staircase with concrete and masonry blocks.
