The names actually mean something
Shopping at IKEA is like visiting another planet, or at least another country. This is hardly a surprise, seeing as how IKEA is a Swedish company. Many of the products’ names may be confusing, but they actually have a meaning.
It’s pretty obvious that the words names of the products in IKEA are Swedish. But what might interest you is that some of the words were spelled in such a way to help the founder remember specific items. For those of you who don’t know, Ingvar Kamprad was dyslexic. So, if you don’t know what a thing is called, don’t worry about a thing. Chances are, some of the employees are just as confused as you.
